A wonderful winter morning some years ago.
Snow is not a frequent occurrence in the Lower Rhine region, and it is always a highlight for me.
For several weeks, maybe months, I tried to photograph a great egret at the small lake near my home. I'm not a wildlife photographer, but it’s fun to give it a try from time to time. The photo of the egret in the tree is far from close, yet it’s my favorite out of all my attempts.
Twisted trees.
Calm moments in nature.
And we are not alone out there. ;)
I like sheep, and I’m happy to have two in my neighbourhood.
It was such a bleak, almost depressing day outside, with hardly any colour in nature. I was all the more surprised to find such colourful structures in a large stone by the side of the road.
Late summer morning in the heathlands of the Maasduinen, a nature reserve in the Netherlands.
It wasn't an especially misty morning, but I still managed to catch some mist over the fields as the sun was coming up behind the trees.
But I'm always looking for those especially misty autumn mornings. Sun is nice, but fog just makes everything look more beautiful and peaceful.
The end of summer comes with spider webs covered in raindrops.
Colours and mist of autumn.
When the sun wakes me up to a view like this on vacation, I can’t be mad.
The gang in the fog.
Rosy, lovely frost. And my first successful attempt to freeze a soap bubble.
