Soon after getting into analog photography, I started looking for a Nikon SLR. Since I already use a Nikon DSLR, I could reuse my lenses. The Nikon FE2 turned out to be a perfect match: beautiful, compact and simple, yet very comfortable to use. I mostly shoot in aperture priority and let the camera choose the shutter speed, only adjusting when needed.
The FE2 soon became my everyday camera, so the first photos on this page were taken in the office.
Not in the office, but around it.
A day on the island of Wangerooge.
Small scenes from the small town of Geldern.
A truly wonderful winter morning in Düsseldorf before starting work.
At the location of the annual fiddle weekend we attend.
I love donkeys - here are a few to look at and enjoy.
Christmas 2025 and a snowy start to 2026.
Spring, spring, spring!
Some black-and-white at home.
During one of my bike rides in the area, I came across these abandoned greenhouses. Since then, I’ve returned from time to time to take photos of this strangely charming place.
In and around the office, this time in black and white.
There are a few motifs that always catch my eye, such as bikes, heaters, shopping trolleys, and, in this case, chairs.
The roof of a swimming pool.
A double exposure of the pool water and the main building’s external staircases.
A frosty, misty morning at Reindersmeer, a lake in the De Maasduinen National Park, Netherlands.
Abstract motif with reflective lights at Villa Hügel, Essen.
I often enjoy the agricultural motifs I come across on my bike rides around the area.
Black-and-white scenes from a vacation, including visits to friends.
My beloved guitar, which sadly doesn’t get nearly enough attention.
Another spot in De Maasduinen National Park: De Hamert, beautiful heathland.
Getting up in the morning is usually hard for me. But one word from my husband - ‘Nebel’ (mist) - and I’m instantly out of bed.
A multiple exposure at night in a garden, and some flower decorations that nicely matched the tablecloth.
A short trip to Cologne, mostly for chores - but I made it a little touristic as well.
My favourite zero-waste shop in Düsseldorf, which unfortunately no longer exists.
Some misty morning scenes from the surrounding countryside.
A few black-and-white glimpses of everyday life.
Modern architecture at Liège-Guillemins train station, Belgium.
Beaches at the Baltic Sea - one natural, one for swimming.
Cityscapes.
Glimpses of blue.
Autumn in the woods.
Sometimes you find something unexpected in the woods....
Tame city geese in snowy Düsseldorf.
Overall, a snowy start to 2026.
